- The Philippine island of Panglao is located in the southwestern province of Bohol, in the region Central Visayas. Panglao has an area of approximately 92 square kilometers, length 17 km, and about 80000 inhabitants. The island is divided into the municipalities of Dauis (northeast) and Panglao (southwest). Panglao is connected by two bridges to the main island Bohol.
The island with its many hotels and Fantastic White Beaches is a popular tourist destination. Also popular with divers from around the world. Tourism in Panglao and Bohol rises steadily. Therefore started in June 2015 the construction of the Panglao Bohol International Airport. The airport has been open since 2018.
The new airport is open and the island of Panglao continues to develop into a major tourist destination in the Philippines. Hundreds of beds are added every year and no end of this development is in sight.
